five senses friday.

Seeing: Placentas in tree shadows, trees in placentas, life growing life.

Tasting: Pancakes. Again. Publix had BOGO mix & syrup, so despite Matilda's declaration last week "I'm sick of pancakes," they are my go to breakfast. Easy, and I can mix fruit, coconut oil, flax, all kinds of sneaky goodness in.

Smelling: More of everything, thanks to the Neti. And yes I now know I could get a brain amoeba from my tap water, thanks to a friend who saw me post this picture. I'll filter my nose cleaning water from here on out because I just can't find anything else as effective for the boogies.

Hearing: The buzz of the big kid toothbrush I couldn't argue with getting for him. Dude wants to do and have everything big sister does. Can't argue with a toddler who loves to brush his teeth.

Feeling: Honestly, a bit touched out. So many wonderful hugs, so much sweet holding, so much comfort nursing...I'm looking forward to my solo day learning birth & baby positions tomorrow. My arms need a break and my brain needs a stretchin'.

Happy weekend!

Five Senses Friday was started by Shari Altman and I came to love it as a feature on the blog Abby Try Again. I'm using it as inspiration to awaken my senses to the big beauty in my small moments during the week. If you want to play along on your blog, leave a link in the comments.

    1. Thank you so much! We are big fans of the amber teething necklace around here. Getting ready to re-up with a new one for his two year molars! :)
