I'm overwhelmed with new knowledge from the Spinning Babies workshop. Charlie and I had a great day picking up tips to share with our birthing families. So many things I wish I'd known 3 years ago when I began this work, but I remind myself that growth is part of the journey. Each birth, each mama, each baby, each midwife who teaches adds something more to the equation.
Like shells in a bucket, I'm collecting gems of knowledge along the way.
We spent Sunday at the beach, finding "babies feet" shells (my favorite) and dipping our toes in. Not quite warm enough for my native Florida blood to jump in fully but almost.
This month we've been back in Florida a whole year, and it feels like we're just digging in. We feel settled, feel at home.
We are thinking of our friends up North snowed in this weekend, and hearing the kiddo saying "I love the beach, I love digging and shells and Florida," and I'm feeling so happy among my new doula sisters and just knowing we did the right thing.
No question now, no question.

What a wonderful thing to hear. It is so nice to feel so confidant in a decision. Miss you all.
ReplyDeleteMiss you too friend! Can't wait until you are here romping (and resting) on the beach with us.
